What is the difference between a residential and commercial wall hydrant?
In many cases, there is actually no difference between the two. As you’ll see, the majority of wall hydrants out there can be used both for residential and commercial purposes. However, there are going to be situations out there where commercial facilities need to look specifically for a commercial hydrant. One example of this involves the ability to require a key to use the hydrant. This can be a great solution for facilities looking to prevent any unauthorized use of the hydrant. Another characteristic that you’ll see more frequently on the commercial side (although it can also be used in the residential world) is the ability to provide hot and cold water through the hydrant.
